We have seen major shifts: USAID’s project closures, the freezing of long-standing grants, and a pivot by global foundations away from traditional “charity” toward Digital Transformation and Climate Resilience (GRID). For grassroots NGOs in Kathmandu and beyond, the message is clear: What worked in 2020 will not sustain us in 2026.
