This camp cook kit video, My Firebox Stove Camp Cook Kit, was recorded during my last solo overnight camp at the Green Lake Rustic Campground in Waterloo, Michigan. It was the firstāand only overnight camp this year that didnāt involve hiking, so it was the perfect opportunity to use and video my large Firebox Stove camp cook kit. After a chilly, clear sky 37 ā night, it was a beautiful day.

I have built up a very nice Firebox Stove camp cook kit (mainly Firebox Stove products), stored in a large, portable box called the Firebox Stove Charlie Box. In this video, I give a light review of the Firebox Stove Charlie Box and go over the contents of this large cook kit.
Note To My Subscribers: I started hiking and camping againābig time! Iāve been hitting the woods almost every weekend for months (after several months of being laid up with medical challenges). Even when I had to stay home, I cooked outdoors in my backyard. Have you noticed my online absence? Iām not going anywhere. I feel like I have most of it out of my system. š I have dozens of hours of video content waiting to be edited. Meanwhile, Stay tuned.
Whatās A Large Camp Cook Kit Great For?
I have MANY camp and hiking stoves, and this is by far my most extensive and most expensive. Obviously, itās not a hiking cook kit. But it would work great for:
- Car/Truck Camping
- RVāing
- Family Camping
- Fishing/Hunting Camp
- Bushcraft Camp
- Bugout Location
- Overland Camping
- Tailgating
- Off-Grid Emergency Cooking
Firebox Stove Product Links
Rather than link to the individual Firebox Stove products, I found the best deals on FireboxStove.com, looking at the sales, value kits, and discounted items. Many items can be found on Amazon, BUT I found better deals directly on their website.
Non-Firebox Items Mentioned:
The following are links to many of the non-Firebox items I showed or mentioned in the video. I used Amazon affiliate (Partner) links where possible.

ZEN Camps Triangular Multi-Fuel Stove
I carry the Zen Camp triangular multi-fuel stove in my Firebox Stove camp cook kit to make coffee while cooking on my Firebox Stove. Any second stove will do. This is just a cheap and compact solution. Eventually, I want to replace it with the Firebox Nano Stove.
I thought the Zen Camp triangular multi-fuel stove was made of titanium, but it is actually stainless steel. It feels super light and very flexible.
Whatās Next For This Kit?
I have always been big on kit building. I have dozens of kits from survival kits to cook kits, first aid kits to packs of every kind. They are all works in progress. This Firebox Stove kit is no exception.
Iād love to add several Firebox stoves to the mix. I really want the 3ā³ G2 Firebox NANO + X-Case Kit in Titanium. This will replace the Zen Camp triangle stove in my kit. Next, I want the Firebox FREESTYLE Modular Stove Titanium Everything Kit. Iād also like the Firebox Scout Scout Performance Kit, but for a separate car cook kit.
Yes, Iām out of control. I wonāt even mention the āMmm Coffee Timeā Kit, the Coffey SpitāRotisserie stick, the 5-WAY Cast Iron Cookware complete set with the 5-WAY Cast Iron Accessory COMBO, the Firebox Pack Table, the Hard Top Custom Overlanding Table, and the Firebox Folding Chef Knife. Iām going to need a bigger Charlie Box.
Wrapping Up
I wholeheartedly disagree if you donāt consider cooking, bushcraft, or camping survival skills. From the first hike, not even an overnight, I learned so much about my gear and myself. It had been three years since I had last hiked.
Thereās too much to go into here, but I have made some significant changes to my bugout and get-home packs, my off-grid cooking methods, and even some of my food preps. More on this in a future piece, but I would encourage you to get out and test your gear and yourself in every weather you might face.
